OPERATIONS - PROJECT OFFICER

Our Operations team is looking for a student or graduate aged 15-30 with experience in project management, leadership and administrative duties. If you have the right experience and keen interest in sustainable development, we would like to hear from you. 
Responsibilities:
  • Determination of staffing numbers, skills, portfolios and needs to meet group objectives
  • Assess applications, arrange for the interview of applicants, administer on-boarding procedures and make recommendations to the Executive about appointments
  • Maintain a database with personal records of staff on matters such as, contact information, personal and professional information, including application, resumes, attendance, training, term commencement and end dates etc.
  • Day-to-day management of recruitment procedures
  • Day-to-day management of administration and project management tools
  • Provide advice and information to the Executive and SDSN Secretariat on HR policies and procedures – including adherence to principles such as equal opportunity, gender-balance, and diversity across the regional/national centres
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, effective and efficient culture
  • Strategic management of staff, administration and internal communications where appropriate
Requirements:              
  • Proven track record of proactivity and successful project management
  • Ability to work effectively as an active member of a small team
  • Experience in administration and/or team leadership
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Additional languages preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and commitment to, sustainable development
  • Ability to dedicate a minimum of 10-12 hours per week
