The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) will be celebrated on 2 December 2016 at UN Headquarters in New York, under the theme “Achieving 17 Goals for the Future We Want”. This theme highlights the recent adoption of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their role in building a more inclusive and equitable world for all, including persons with disabilities.
The observance of the IDPD 2016 coincides with the 10-year anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD10)
