Today we celebrate the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action.

Mine action is a tangible form of protection, reducing the explosive threat faced by affected communities, as well as vulnerable populations such as internally displaced people and refugees.

This year the theme for #IMAD2018 is "Advancing Protection, Peace & Development".
Find out what UNMAS is doing to mitigate the threats from mines and explosive remnants of war and let's spread the word of the importance of mine action for our world to be #MineFree!
